Going to work

Going to work this morning, I happened to get at the head of the metro train. Looking ahead at the futuristic Dubai landscape, I was thinking about translation assignments I have done since I moved here in 2011. There were plenty: very different clients, conferences, topics and people. 2016 is a slow year beacuse of the oil prices or at least so they say. And none the less, we are moving forward just like the train I am on, following the narrow and strick path of the railway. Skyscrapers unfolding infront of me, this is yet a new scene in the familiar town: from the head of the train. May be I will be able to see the interpreting business from a new angle, we shall see.
