Translating in industrial settings is complicated not only becuse of technical language. It is also an atmosphere of a plant/factory that contributes to the overall work. I have recently translated during an industrial trial conducted at Binani Cement Plant in Dubai. Not only was I a part of a revolutionary experiement when traditional way of producing cement was replaced with innovative technology reducing clinker and CO2 emmissions down to 1/3 compared to regular Portland Cement. I also witnessed the scale of idustrial cement production, equipment involved and a daily operation of workers on the plant. Knowledge comes with such an assignment.
